SugarGooKakoBuy is a small editorial desk based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. We were founded in 2019 by Nadia Verhoeven, a former freight forwarding operations manager who was tired of comparing shopping agent fees through screenshots and forum posts.
We publish one kind of thing: what happened when our team ordered a product through a shopping agent, shipped it, opened the parcel and measured what was inside. That includes the agent's fees, the warehouse QC photos, the parcel weight, the shipping-line quote, the transit scans and the condition of the item on arrival.
The desk is three people. Nadia Verhoeven is editor-in-chief and covers agent fee structures and parcel consolidation. Callum Reyes is senior reviews editor and runs the hands-on bench. Hana Sato is research and data editor and builds the rate and timing tables. We work from a converted warehouse office in Rotterdam's M4 district, where the testing bench, the scale and the photo mat live.
We order every test item through the same public checkout any reader would use, and we pay the published price. We do not accept free products, free shipping credit or paid placement in exchange for coverage. Our funding comes from affiliate commissions on links to agents, shipping lines and marketplaces, and that funding is disclosed wherever affiliate links appear.

Our SugarGoo and KakoBuy comparisons focus on what changes when items are combined into one parcel: protection, packaging removal, repacking fees and chargeable weight. We follow those choices through to the final invoice so a low quote can be assessed against the delivered parcel.
