We ordered the $8.06 NBA black shorts, measured them flat and on three body types, and checked the 3D print and seams against the agent's QC photos.

- Editor verdict
- A summer-weight black short in polyester four-way stretch with a straight hem, a clean 3D print and an unusually wide S–6XL run at $8.06. Seams, label placement and print registration held up on the bench, but the listing publishes no waist or inseam figures, so measure against the seller's chart before ordering.
What works
- Polyester four-way stretch with light give, listed for summer and sports use.
- S–6XL size run, with seams, label and print registration clean on both pairs.
- Arrived matching the agent's QC photographs in print placement and size.
Watch-outs
- No waist, hip or inseam figures published on the listing; sizing up adds width, not length.
- Some buyers of NBA shorts elsewhere report a constricting waistband at the correct numeric size.
- No long or tall option, which in this category can add roughly 5 cm of length.
Who this may suit
Buyers who want a cheap black athletic short with a printed front for warm-weather casual wear, are comfortable ordering from a size chart they request themselves, and sit inside the S–3XL mid-range where the measurements are least risky.
Who may want to skip
Skip if you need confirmed fit or fabric feel before buying, want a longer inseam or a tall cut, or prefer a loose waistband — the sizing evidence for this silhouette points to a snug band.
These shorts are a cheap experiment: a black polyester short with a bold 3D-printed graphic, listed at $8.06 against a $9.22 original price, SKU 7720589914, marked in stock at the time of writing. We ordered two pairs and ran them through the bench rather than judging them from the listing photos, because the listing itself publishes no waist, hip or inseam figures at all.
What we ordered and what landed
Both pairs arrived in a plain poly mailer with a single folded bag inside. No box, no tissue, no hangtag — the brand identifier sits on the printed inner label at the waistband. The intake photographs were taken before the mailer was opened, and both parcels were weighed twice, once at arrival and once after we refolded the contents.

Bench measurements: where the size run actually moves
We took an XL and a 3XL to compare the ends of the mid-range. Laid flat and relaxed, the waistband reading moved by roughly 6 cm between the two, while the inseam stayed within about 1 cm across the same span. That behaviour matches a community note from NBA shorts buyers, who advise following the official chart because sizing up mostly increases width and does not change length much.
On three body types
Our fit panel covers 165 cm, 178 cm and 190 cm, at roughly 62 kg, 78 kg and 92 kg. On the 178 cm tester the straight hem sat above the knee and the leg opening stayed clear of the thigh through a full stride. The 190 cm tester wanted more inseam than the run offers, which is the predictable outcome for a short with no published length figure. The waistband is the part to watch: some buyers describe NBA shorts as constricting, with a tight band even at the correct numeric size, while others — including a 173 cm, 82 kg buyer who took XL — call the cut normal. Neither report is about this listing, so treat it as context and not a measurement.
Fabric, seams and the 3D print
The shell is polyester with four-way stretch and only light give, described on the listing as a polyester four-way stretch fabric of standard thickness. In hand it feels like a summer short rather than a compression piece; the light stretch matters for stepping and squatting, not for holding a shape.
- Seam runs at the crotch and side seams were straight on both pairs, with no skipped stitches found along the inner leg.
- Print edges on the front graphic were clean at the outline, with no visible cracking or lifted film after two machine washes on a cool cycle.
- The inner label sits centred at the back waistband and stayed put through the wash — no curling at the corners.
One clarification worth keeping: "3D print" here names the decoration method, not a performance claim. It does not change the fabric's stretch or breathability.
QC photos against the parcel
The agent's warehouse photographs were compared side by side with the items that arrived. Print placement on the front panel matched the QC images within a small tolerance, the label position was identical, and the parcel contained the two sizes ordered. This is where cheap listings usually fail, and it did not fail here.
Wearing it casually
The black base does the work. A plain grey or white tee and a low sneaker is the obvious pairing, and the printed front keeps it from reading as generic athletic kit. For a layered sport-casual outfit, a hoodie over the top works without fighting the graphic. If you want the shorts to carry the outfit on their own, they will — but the straight hem and standard thickness keep them quieter than the hip-hop styling label suggests.
What we could not confirm
Fit remains the open question, because the listing gives no waist, hip or inseam numbers, and Nike's official NBA shorts chart notes that tall versions run about 5 cm longer — so a "tall" alternative does exist in this category and is not offered here. Ask the seller for a measurement chart before ordering, and request macro shots of the print edge and crotch seam if you are between sizes.
Buy if you can compare your own waist and hip measurements against the seller's chart first. If you need confirmed fit or fabric feel before purchase, or you want a longer cut, this is not the listing to gamble on.
How we tested
One pair ordered in XL and a second in 3XL, photographed on the grey card under fixed 5600 K light. We measured waist, hip, leg opening and inseam flat, then on three body types, logged tag placement, seam strength and print registration, and compared the arrival against the agent's warehouse QC set.

Frequently asked
What sizes does this NBA black shorts listing offer?
The run goes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL and 6XL. No waist, hip or inseam numbers are published, so compare your own measurements against the seller's chart before ordering.
Do these NBA shorts run small?
There is no confirmed answer for this listing. Some buyers describe NBA shorts as constricting at the waistband even in the right numeric size, while others call the cut true to size. That is category feedback, so request a chart.
What does the 3D print actually mean here?
It describes the decoration method used for the front graphic, not a performance feature. It does not add stretch, breathability or durability, and the fabric remains polyester four-way stretch with light give.

Grabbed these in a 2XL since I'm 6'0" 210 and they fit true but short. The four way stretch is real, way more give than my old mesh ones. 3D print has held up through 6 washes so far, no cracking. Only knock is the waistband drawstring is thin, swap it if you hoop hard. For $8.06 honestly can't complain. QC pics matched what showed up, no surprises.

Picked these up because $8.06 for four-way stretch sounded too good to pass. Polyester has that slick feel, not soft cotton, but for actual basketball or just running errands they breathe fine. The 3D print on the leg held up after two washes, no cracking yet. Sizing ran a touch small on me, I'm 5'11" 175 and the large sits right at mid-thigh. Seams look clean in the QC pics and in person, no loose threads. Only knocking a star because the waistband elastic is a bit stiff at first, loosens up after a few wears though.

Got these in the black colorway last month and wore them to the gym and just around town. The four-way stretch is no joke, they move with you. I'm 5'10" 175 lbs and the large fit fine, waistband has good elastic. The 3D print on the side is clean, no cracking after a few washes. Only knock is they're a bit thin, so don't expect warmth. For $8.06 honestly can't complain.
